My name is Taylor Reardon, eccentric Founder of Taylor Made Designs. Growing up in Fairfield, Connecticut, I fell in love with New England’s rich and unique architecture, which was a big inspiration for my art. As a child, I struggled with learning disabilities and found the act of creating to be a powerful coping mechanism that also boosted my confidence. Luckily, my peace-lovin’, hippie dad and spunky, business-savvy, New Yorker mother nurtured my creative side, helping to set the course for my future.
Hi! I'm Taylor...
I remember being completely mesmerized as I watched my restaurateur father transform old, decrepit buildings into legendary fine dining establishments with captivating décor. These were defining moments in my life, ones that opened the doors to my creativity. Before I knew it, my artistic expression became my own magical way of making sense of the world around me. Now, I use my superpowers to make spaces flawlessly reflect the people who use them.
Although I began my studies in Interior Design at Oklahoma State University, I ultimately earned my degree at Clary Sage College. I launched my dream career immediately, interning for Leslie Elliott Interiors. This fabulous experience blessed me with so much knowledge, and after, I was promoted to Showroom Manager! Later, I landed a job as Assistant Designer to Judy Littrell at Thayer Furniture, where I strengthened and expanded my skills even further.
After eight years in this industry, I decided to go solo. In 2016, I launched Taylor Made Designs, which afforded me the freedom to explore and to bring my eclectic flavor into my work. I have a knack for seeing one’s true self, which enables me to craft the perfect setting to match their inner beauty, desires, and taste. I’m a big fan of incorporating antiques, vintage items, and one-of-a-kind pieces in my classy, timeless, and contemporary designs. I firmly believe an object’s beauty has no expiration date!
There is nothing more rewarding than watching my clients’ gasping reactions during the big reveal. Everyone deserves to experience something so special! That’s why I keep my rates affordable and budget-friendly. And I offer e-design services, as well as in-person consultations, right here in Tulsa. When I combine my eye for aesthetics with my uncanny ability to read people, the result is an unbelievably personalized, value-enhancing, luxury interior that will make your neighbors and guests green with envy. It’s Taylor-made just for you!
If I’m not waist-deep in a design project, I can be found out and about at thrift stores, estate sales, or garage sales on the hunt for the perfect relics of the past for someone’s new space. That or I’m in my studio, jamming out to some good ol’ classic rock while I breathe new life into refinished furniture or repurposed handmade goods. I also love photography, and my beloved dog, Miss Breezee Boone, is the center of my world.
I am very passionate about what I do, and it truly shows in my work. When I form that enchanting connection with my clients, my inspiration and creativity take over the driver’s seat. I’m immediately flooded with ideas! I can’t wait to work my artsy voodoo on whatever area of yours that may need a revival.
